The Ol' Bi-monthly entry

Time to dust off the old keyboard and check in once again.  I don't know how you guys to do this on any sort of consistent basis, just trying to keep up wears me out...and would it kill Xanga to not have a million fonts that make me resemble either a serial killer writing a randsom riddle or make me look like a 13 yr old girl on AIM?

So the summer has officially started and I am sweating up a storm.  I haven't been sleeping well for the past week because of the heat and apparently i'm not alone, because every morning someone other than me at the office is complaining about not sleeping at night and everyone is a little chippy to say the least.

Summertime means graduation so here are some pix

Some of the veterans w/ the new grad.  NOTE: UCSB graduation is STILL basically chaos on a hay field w/ robes and flowers

ok I REALLY REALLY like this picture because this dude straight up got a TROPHY for graduating.  All the fixins too, name engraved in the trophy, year, MVP award, final score, you name it, it was on there.  I thought i'd be a great show to have it up like the NBA trophy.  I wonder if he walked the stage with it, that would be so tight.

Parting shot @ UCSB...

a) this thing was never filled w/ water when i went to school there.  It was more like a skate ramp than a pool of water

b) why are there WEEDS growing out of the pool now, this is like when you do the science experiment w/ the potatoe in the jar and 1 week later,  it looks like the monster from Independence Day.

c) It is almost NEVER foggy the weekend of graduation.  It's supposed to be SUNNY and pleasant and slightly warm which makes everyone envious of us living and going to school here...Further evidence that global warming is destroying the world as we know it.

Graduation also for the Youth Group kids.  We got to hang out at the MTV Cribs baller house for the party.  Good times all around.

Oh final note: Anyone interested in buying a pair of almost new, never worn pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses?  They are unisex and sell for retail for about $200.  You can get them on the internet for about $150, I'll sell them a third of that.  I got a great deal on them, but I couldn't switch the lens out, so now my great deal becomes your great deal...Don't look at me like that, these are legit and you will look hot this summer w/ them on.  Makes a great gift for loved ones!  This has officially become the ghetto shoppers eBay.

I'll be back w/ pictures from Chris Moy's wedding...

Wow, so I haven't been here in a while.  In a LONG while.  Here are some highlights

me winning my prestigous bowling trophy from our 1st annual work tournament.  As you can see, the trophy itself was overwhelming.

went to the rodeo.  Beware, standing so close to a wild bull is considered HIGHLY dangerous.

went to Santa Anita for the first time.  FACT: standing this close to the horses almost ensures that it smells like horse poop.

Tony got knifed at dinner.  I still ate off the sword though.

And since I said there would be one; body fat update: 10.5% and dropping.

Well, just watched Superbowl XL.  I must say, I think it would have been better if it wasn't hyped to death and 70% of SportsCenter and 90% of the Jim Rome Show wasn't consumed w/ every little detail of what the players were doing and saying...

Went wine tasting this weekend for the first time.  Not too shabby, pretending that I was in the movie Sideways, swirling wine around in a glass and putting my beak into the cup to smell it and pretend like I know what I am doing.  But good times all around.

New addtion to the house: Pooltable, Card Table 3 in 1.

Happy New Year everyone!!

So this year, I started feeling sick the day before the 31st, and after watching Geisha on Friday night, I confirmed that I had caught whatever was going around.  The last 3 weeks I had seen Syrianna and Geisha in what people are calling the best films out there right now and all I could think about is how I had missed 2 opportunities to see King Kong.

Anyway, so I stayed home ALL day on the 31st.  I went out for about 30 min and that was down the street to Vons to buy enough food to make brunch for 4 ppl and to make a roast for dinner.  Either way it was POURING and I probably was worse off for leaving the house for that 30 min.  So you may be wondering, what does one do the entire day at home?  How about watching STAR WARS...Episodes 1-3?  Originally, the plan was the leave the tv on all day and just go through all 6 episodes but it was just too much.  So basically, I just cooked, ate, dozed off, cooked, ate, watched Star Wars, dozed off, watched 30 min of Dick Clark, which was basically watching Star Wars because Dick Clark had something FUNKY wrong with his throat and basically sounded like the Emperor in Star Wars.  He must have had a frog or something in there because he ws super hoarse and you could barely discern that he was speaking english.  As bad as that was, it wasn't as bad a seeing Carson Daly on the other channel kissing WANDA SYKES when the ball dropped.  WANDA SYKES!?!?!  How that happened without her capping on him for being white I have no idea.  Uggghhhh...Wanda Sykes....ugggghhhh, this entry is OVER!!
